Morgan County is ridge and valley ground. Cacapon Mountain runs west of town and drops to the Potomac at Great Cacapon. Sleepy Creek Mountain and Third Hill Mountain stand east, with the Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area between them. Level ground is the exception around here.
